I haven't yet graduated beyond potted gardening, but as you can see I have a hat which clearly indicates my serious gardener status. Potted gardening is just a legit as the next thing, and not nearly as taxing. I use the same pots every year so all that getting started requires is a trip to the gardening center, picking out the plants and soil, and following the directions the plants are sold with - pretty easy stuff. The entire process only took about 2 hours (travel to the store included), and I will hopefully be eating off of these plants all summer. I planted cilantro, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, jalapenos and red bell peppers. I have big plans to make the Hubs lots of salsa this summer in addition to tons of salads for myself.
