A large part of the obesity problem is that unhealthy food is too easily accessible. An important part of making your weight loss journey successful entails learning to enjoy putting a bit of labor into your meals. A great exercise to help reconnect you to your food (and to start enjoying working for it) is to go out and pick produce with your own hands. This is an option even for city dwellers. Though I am based in Atlanta, I was able to pick fresh strawberries today approximately 30 minutes away from my home. They were so sweet, they were well worth the drive. The calories I burned while picking were a bonus.
